Abington Celebrates Founders Days
2nd Annual Children’s Fishing Derby
Saturday, June 9, 2018 10am to 1pm
Open to all children, aged 6-14; parental presence is required for those children fishing.
A prize will be awarded in each age group.
Each participant must supply their own rod and reel. Parents may fish alongside their children
but should bring their fishing license.
Bobbers, hooks and bait will be provided.
Sign up starts at 9:30 am on Central Street, across from Abington DPW. Look for our tents.
We need volunteers with fishing experience to help the children set up their fishing equipment and help measure the fish caught.
Hotdogs will be provided for all the participants and helpers, starting at noon. The Abington Lions Club will be doing the cooking! Free Water will be on hand for all during the tournament.

NOTE: IF you plan on freshwater fishing and you are 15 years old or older – a MA Fishing license is required.
